Snapchat with “Memories” extends your snaps’ lives

Times when your snaps survived up to 24 hours are irretrievably gone. “My stories” menu on Snapchat used to contain the only option of retaining snaps for just 24 hours, but a new feature called “Memories” has been recently added and it allows you to store your snaps forever.

How do the “Memories” work?

This new feature allows you to store your personal snaps or even entire stories in your personal collection. You may always pick any of your snaps from the collection and use it in any way you want.

You will find the “Memories” section of Snapchat by swiping upwards from the screen that is used to take photos and videos. Your stored snaps and experiences will be taken apart from your daily story, so you can find them in the “Memories” section.

Snaps for “My Eyes Only”

That’s not all. The new feature also offers the “My Eyes Only” folder, which is intended for storing all of the photos and videos that you want to set private. Therefore, you are the only one, who can view them.

You may argue that storing photos and videos undermines the original philosophy of Snapchat, but wait until you decide to share one of your great experiences and there will be no Internet connection at the moment.

Since Snapchat is still testing its new update, only some of you may be introduced to the new feature yet. However, Snapchat announced that the new feature will be available for each Snapchat user by the next month.
